The room in Nikko Hotel wasn't as spacious as I would have expected a 4 star hotel to be but oh well, gotta remember that its Hong Kong-space constrained.
We decided to have lunch opposite the hotel where there are a few shops located. This shop caught our fancy.

Beef noodles soup

Dry noodles with Char Siew and beef.

& & a plate of roasted chicken and roasted goose.
nom nom nom

How can you not have Lai Cha while in HK?
Apparently its coffee, tea and milk. Yum. :)

We walked out gastromonically satisfied. :))

Me looking a little jet lagged and unglam.
Oh, and I must tell you about this little furry friend!

Ain't he a cutie!
It's very soft and fluffy.... (L)
A litle kitty cat that just sat around at a newstand located in the corner.
Saw it on the first day we were there and I kept checking the newstand everyday we pass by hoping I'd get to see the kitty again but I didn't get to.
At night, we took a taxi from the hotel to "Ladies Street" which is actually located along Tung Choi Street. We were still noob so we took the taxi instead of the MTR.
It's called Ladies Street for a reason! Every shop filled with things that just makes you wanna go "Oooo and Arrrr"

I didn't buy anything tho. O:)
Continued walking around the busy busy streets on a Friday night.

Busy Busy HK!
As we were walking around, something caught my attention!
0.0

hehehehe.
I just quickly browed through their 2 floors cause I don't want to add anything on to my already overloaded make up collection or to keep my parents waiting outside.
Oh, and for any SASA fans out there. OMG wei, there's an outlet everywhere you turn!

With my papa and mama.
People still cant make up their mind if I look like my mum or dad.
Being food crazy Malaysian, mum n I couldnt resist buying some fried goodies to munch on.

Squid tentacles.
Crunchy but a tad too salty.

Chou Tau Foo.
It tasted good, much better than the one the sell in Taman Connaught night market.
Took a few bites then gave the rest to my mum. hehe.
While on the topic of food, I must talk about dessert!
On the first night, after some simple dim sum, we headed to a dessert stall. Right decision.

Hot Cashew Nut soup-thingo

Mixed Fruits

Mango Sago
Nick told me about this awesome desser place in Causeway Bay that his sisters went to last time so I just wanted to try it as well. It's located opposite Sogo but I still walked around high and low looking for it. Not hard to spot. Right opposite Sogo, has a red sigh board with chinese charactes on it with lots of people.

Wasn't great. Mango was sour.
After travelling all the way to Causeway Bay from Kowloon, later that night the parents took me to a place they discovered which is where the hotels free shuttle bus stops just a few minutes away and there the same mango dessert store is! Zzzz. Oh well, at least I've seen Causeway Bay.

Pork Burger!
Not that nice. Just two pork fillets and buns. Kena kon. :(

Very cute looking Egg Waffles!
Chocolate flavoured.
As for
Dim Sum, my cousin took us to a very nice place to have lunch.
Metropol. I forgot the buildings name but its located right outside one of the exits of the Admiralty stop which is next to a bus station. It's one of the few dim sum places that still serves dim sum on a push trolley and with an open space kitchen where you can make special orders and watch it get cooked.

ROAR!

Isn't it cute and awesome that they still use bamboo in construction!
I most certainly was amused!

Char Siew and Roasted Pork Skin rice.
Nom nom nom. It was very yummy!
Oh, and vege in HK is yummy! So big, so juicy, so soft... I can't believe i just described greens that way!

A night shot overlooking HK.
So we wanted to go up to The Peak to get a scenic view of HK.
Take the tram!

To get to the tram station though, we had to walk through HK Park.
Again, when in HK, just walk! Get yourself those free maps at the airport or just follow the sign boards. They wont lead you to Holland like the KL one's does.

In HK Park.

There's a marriage registry near by so there were a a few people taking their wedding photos on that day. Also, very amusing signs around:

'Restart' LOL.

After the very steep and fun tram ride, we were up at the peak freezing!
Weather wasn't kind as it was very foggy thus you can't see HK at all.

MISTY.

Someone left them tied up to a lamp post.
Poor fluffy doggies.
People kept stopping by to pat them and to take pictures with them.

SO CUTE.
At the end of our HK stay, we took the train from Hong Hum station to Lo Wu which then leads us to the Shenzhen border! Costs HKD33 for adults and takes about 40 minutes.
Daddy in the train with his luggage.
A squished bird. hehe.
The HK post is probably going to be the longest post since I took lots of pictures and all...
